Click the button Publish to open the publication section. Select the tab Online.
In the left area of the view there is a combobox to select the FTP settings of the web server on which you want to publish your website. Depending on your license type yo have the possibility to add one or more FTP profiles. Click the button Settings, to open the dialog for administration of FTP profiles.
In the left part of the dialog there is a list of all your FTP profiles. Click the button Add to add a new FTP profile. Using the button Delete you can remove the currently selected profile.
In the right part of the dialog you can edit the profile that is selected in the listbox:
| Profile Name | Name of the profile |
| Hostname | Enter here your domain |
| Port | The default port for FTP is port 21, change this parameter only if you are sure that the FTP service has been configured to use another port number. |
| Folder on Server | Enter the folder on the server to which your website files should be copied. |
| FTP Username | The username of your FTP account |
| FTP Password | The password of your FTP account |
| Website Location | Enter here the URL of your website |
| Use SSL | Activate this checkbox only if you are sure that your FTP account is configured for SSL encryption |
Click the button OK to save the changed settings.
In the center of the view there is an hierarchical structure of all the files and folders which should be
copied to your web server. Deactivating the checkboxes located at the left side of each entry you can exclude
single files and folders from the publication.
Using the option button Publish from you can select from which folder you want to
copy the files to your server:
| Auto | The website will be generated to a temporary folder and thereafter uploaded from this folder |
| Website Local Folder | The files will be copied from the local website folder |
Click the button Publish to start the publication. In the progress bar you can see the advancement of the upload process.
You can open the published website in your web browser by pressing the button Open Website in Browser.
Clicking the button Open FTP Folder in Browser EWP will try to establish a FTP connection using your standard web browser.
