Click the button Intro, to open the intro section.
An intro is a special greeting page that is shown before the underlying content is displayed.
If you have decided to integrate an intro in your website, click the template image in the left area of the intro section.
The Intro Template Browser will open:
In the left area of the browser there is a list of all available intro templates. In the preview located at the center the intro is displayed as it will look like in your website. You can also scroll through the templates clicking the arrow buttons at the left and at the right side of the preview.
To choose a certain template select it and click the button OK. If you don't want to use an intro template click the button None. If you want to load additional intro templates from the Internet click the button Download to open the EWP templates web page in your standard web browser. Imported templates can be eliminated by clicking the button Remove.
An advantage of intro templates is, that certain constituent parts can be generated dynamically. Dynamic user inputs like text, colors (using the Color Dialog) or fonts can be entered at the central area of the intro section.
Some intro templates offer the possibility to include an image. Click the tab Image, if you plan to integrate an individual image in your intro.
Press the button Choose image to select the image file you want to use in your intro. Once you have chosen an image a dialog to adjust the image dimensions will open:
Select one of the predefined sizes or enter an individual image size. If you want to avoid that differing proportions will deform the image, activate the checkbox Constrain Proportions. Click the button OK to save the changes.
You can change the image size at any time clicking the button Image settings.
By activating or deactivating the green checkmark you can decide if you want to use a sound effect. Click the sound symbol to launch the Intro Sound Browser.
In the left area of the Sound Browsers there is a list of all available sound effects. In the central area of
the browser all sounds are displayed as a grid. Move the mouse pointer over an image in the sound grid to play
the attached sound.
To choose a sound click it in the grid or select it in the list and click the button OK.
If you don't want to play a sound, click the button None.
| Skip Button | Activating the checkbox Skip Button a link to skip the intro will be displayed. This checkbox is only visible if the selected template supports this feature. |
| Destination | Select the page to display after the intro has terminated. |
| Duration in seconds | Here you can enter the amount of seconds you want to show the intro. |
In the right area of the intro section a preview of the selected intro - including all individual settings - is displayed. You can control the animation using the buttons Play and Stop.
